Did I Just Flush Money Down the Toilet?

Starting on MondaySo I went out driving locally the other day to find a local diet center. So local that I would have no excuse not to go. Honestly, I wish there was just a Weight Watchers nearby, but the closest one is 25 minutes away. I know myself, I’m late to everything. I won’t go. I’ve joined 20 times, and never end up wanting to drive to an area I’m never near.

So I found someplace I could walk to.  It was a local chiropractor’s office that used to do the HCG diet and has now moved to another program. I didn’t like the guy. He’s my “coach” but felt more like a used car salesperson. He talked over me. But I knew I had to do something. And I NEED the accountability of someone weighing me in. So I went for it…FOUR fucking HUNDRED dollars for 52 weeks of coaching by a guy I didn’t like.

I didn’t realize how much I didn’t like him till I left and felt like I was just sheistered out of my money. Then, as I’m pulling out, I see that there is a health food store in the SAME PLAZA that says free walk-in Nutritional Counseling.

Fuck.

I didn’t even start the diet today.

But after $400, I guess I have no choice. I’ll be Starting on Monday.

Don’t you have three days to back out of a contract? Look it up — I don’t know where you live, but check to see if you have a Buyers Remorse law where you live. Or you may even have one in the contract you signed with the shyster. Good luck!

  2. Hah! Is that how you spell shyster? I didn’t sign anything except a receipt.

  3. OMG get your money back!!!

  4. If you dont feel comfortable…get your money back if you can girl!!

  5. So, yes, he let me return everything and get my money back! Yay! Starting WW now.

  6. Ana so glad you got your money back. I started Curves a month ago and I have a coach but no way did I pay $400. We’ll both suffer on our diets together.
